Beware of Reshipping Scams
Legitimate mystery shopping should never require applicants to receive unknown packages at home and forward them to unrelated destinations. If someone offers you money to "receive and reship" parcels using your home address, that is a scam — and it may be using your identity to commit fraud.
VerifiedGig micro-delivery assignments are local pickup and delivery tasks within a designated area. They never involve parcels being sent to your home address for you to forward.
Never do any of the following
These are the classic moves of a recruitment scam. If anyone asks you to do one of them, stop, do not reply, and report it to us.
VerifiedGig does not charge applicants to apply. There is no application fee, no registration fee and no cost at any point in our recruitment process.
Pay a fee, deposit or purchase to “secure” a place or an assignment.
Share banking passwords, PINs, card details or one-time codes.
Receive a package at your home address and forward it to an unrelated destination.
Provide sensitive identification documents during the initial application.
What a legitimate VerifiedGig application looks like
If any step below does not match what you are being asked to do, you are not dealing with VerifiedGig.
Step 1
You complete an online application on VerifiedGig.com — no cost, no account, no documents.
Step 2
A VerifiedGig recruiter reviews your application.
Step 3
If you are selected, a recruiter contacts you about screening and next steps.
Step 4
Approved applicants receive onboarding instructions directly from VerifiedGig.
Report a suspicious message
If you receive a message that claims to be from VerifiedGig and it asks for money, gift cards, banking details or a package to forward, do not reply. Tell us what happened so we can warn other applicants.
A support address is published here before launch. Until then, please do not continue with any recruitment conversation that asks you for money or for a package to be forwarded.
